Much about the life and versatile musical talent of Enzo Minuti is still shrouded in mystery. The composer and multi-instrumentalist, born in Genoa but a resident of Bologna, was very active in the applied music field between the '70s and the '80s. He recorded and released a number of instrumental records under his own name or monikers such as Ezy Minus, Maripal or Cronomas, none of which have been reissued.
Among them is the brilliant Experience, which features electro-acoustic experimentation and abstraction ("Free Tension") alongside more rhythmic and traditionally catchier tunes ("Blues Samba", "Tupamaros"), enthralling Hammond and woodwind passages alongside an infectious rhythm section. Performed by a small ensemble of five players and enriched by the masterful overdubbing of organ, tenor sax, flute and percussion (all played by Minuti himself), Experience is an example of high musical craftsmanship, a groovy and bright collection of vibrant easy-listening pieces.
