Welcome to a mind-blowing example of psychedelic library music! Originally released in 1971 on the super small label Vi.Di.Elle (which also put out "Cream" by The Black Fire, another psychedelic gem), this terrific but little known record was written and performed by a wonderful trio of unsung Italian composers. Hidden behind the Green Birds moniker are Franco Bonfanti, Romano Rizzati (Corfull) and Renato Sperduti (Myrval), who give us some really fantastic jams here in the style of Underground by The Braen's Machine. The album is chock-full of tripadelic effects, hallucinatory synths, wah wah and fuzz guitars, funky drum breaks, and loungey vibes. In 1996 track A4, Franco Bonfanti's "Ambiente Elegante", was featured on the pioneering (and now cult) compilation Speedball Experience.
