Four Flies Records pays tribute to the great composer and saxophonist Sandro Brugnolini with a digital reissue of a collection of jazz tracks written in the mid-60s for short theatrical documentaries, and even short animated films by renowned graphic designers of the time, produced by Roman company Corona Cinematografica. Musically exquisite and historically relevant, these tracks were originally released as a promo-only vinyl boxset. They span a wide variety of genres and moods – from bossa nova for romantic or relaxing settings to syncopated swing rhythms for frantic or dance scenes, to nocturnal blues melodies that evoke dark and suspenseful atmospheres.
